Attendance and Leave [Regularity Record]
- To be eligible for promotion, a student must have a minimum of 75% attendance.
- Staying away from school without leave is not tolerated except when the cause is sudden illness of unforeseen circumstances. A student is not allowed to go away form school during schoool hours without previous written application from the guardian. Whenever leave has been sanctioned the fact should be recorded in the regularity record.
- After an absence from class students must bring the reasons duly entered in the Regularity Record stating the cause of absence or delays. Reasons of private nature may be submitted in a letter. Pupils who have been absent for three consecutive days or more due to illness will submit a medical certificate. The principal should be informed if the student is absent due to prolonged illness for relaxation of 75% attendance required for promotion.
- Irregular attendance, unjustified or unexplained absence, habitual late-coming shall be viewed seriously by the Disciplinary committee resulting in the removal of the student from the school rolls. On the contrary the school will institute special awards for those candidates for attaining the highest percentage of attendance which must be above 90%.
